Smart Class Rooms & Laboratories:

The College has recently developed the state of the art smart classrooms & labs fitted with LCD’s & projectors and interactive Poly vision boards with LAN connectivity for providing best of AV facilities to its aspiring students apart from the conventional teaching methodology.

Automated College library:

The College library achieved a great milestone in the year 2014 when it became one among the few colleges in the state having operations and services automated using INFLIBNET developed library software SOUL 2.0.

Presently the library maintains a collection of more than 15,500 information sources in various formats. In addition through N-List online library services of UGC, the college library has the facility of online subscription of online journals and electronic books. For reading room visitors, the college provides a large number of subscribed newspapers and magazines.

The College is also working on to provide the library services beyond the college campus through remote access from library portal.

Internet Browsing Center:

The College provides the internet facility to its students and faculty during the working hours.

Closed Circuit TV:

For better and efficient monitoring of the activities of the students, the college campus is equipped with Closed Circuit Television System of latest configuration.

College Canteen:

The College canteen is housed in a separate building where it is ensured that fresh snacks, beverages etc are available comparatively at lower rates to students, besides separate seating arrangements are maintained for boys, girls and the staff.

Medical Room:

For providing First-Aid treatment to the students and the Staff of the college during the working hours, the College has well equipped medical room. In future, the college intends to upgrade it to the level of Health Center.

National Service Scheme (NSS):

For providing education through community services under the aegis of Government of India, the college has three NSS units’ two units for boys & one for Girls headed by three NSS officers.

National Cadet Corps (NCC):

The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades in Annual Camps held in various parts of the Country. The aim of these trainings is to develop qualities of character, courage, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and sportsmanship and the ideals of selfless service among the youth to make them useful citizen and to create a human resource of organized trained and motivated youth to provide leadership in all walks of life including the Armed Forces and be always available for the service of the humanity.

Educational Tours

The objective of conducting educational tours in various disciplines is to impart practical training to the students of the college so as to make them abressed the latest happenings taking place in their concern disciplines.

College Magazine

The college "SANGARMAL" is published in annually to provide an opportunity to the young students of the college having aptitude in creative writing to develop their talent in the said field besides faculty members also contribute with their articles in the said magazine.

Department of Physical Education

The Department of Physical Education is well equipped with modern infrastructure and includes activities like Swimming, Volleyball, Badminton, TT, Cricket, Judo, Football, Athletics (track and field). Sports are in fact a way of life for the student’s conscious of health fitness and those looking for professional star status. Physical education, a learning experience, offers a unique opportunity for problem - solving and self-expression and socialization. A well implemented, comprehensive programme is an essential component to the growth of both mind and body.

Achievements

  • 18 students of the College participated in the skiing course conducted by IISM, Gulmarg and Shahid Ahmed of BG 3rd Year stood first position.
  • 50 students (Boys) participated in the annual college cross country run from Nehru Park to Nishat covering a distance seven kilometers and Mr.Farmaan Ali of BBA 2nd Year finished first.
  • 30 students (Girls) participated in the annual college cross country run from Nehru Park to Nishat covering a distance seven kilometers and Ms.Nadira Ajaz of B.Sc IST Year finished first.
  • 35 students (Boys) participated in the Annual College Cycle race from Nehru Park to Rumi Gate of Kashmir University covering a distance 15 kilometers and Mr.Muzzafar Hussain of BA 2nd Year finished first.
  • Finished runners up in the Inter-college Yusuf Memorial Cricket Cup organized by Islamia College of Sciences & Commerce, Srinagar
